January came and went in the blink of an eye and it appears as if "Old Man Winter" finally woke up from his slumber (in a bad mood nonetheless)! Regardless of what the weather is doing, we charge on in the pursuit of a big 2019. We have so many exciting projects in the works and we are excited to see everything come to fruition.

Our pride and joy to begin the new year is a project we started in the fall of 2017; a 3 BR/2.5 BA Modern Farm House New Build on the outskirts of Grand Rapids, Michigan. A tear down/re-build, we transformed the deep lot into a useful, completely custom space ideal for a family who appreciates southern charm and functionality. An extensive amount of design work was done by our team at Sweet Magnolia Design and the material take-offs/build was done by us. We used TS Max Poured Walls for all concrete work.

To say this home is custom almost doesn't do it justice. We put in a lot of work all the way around and the materials chosen (all supplied by us) play off each other in a great way. The open floor plan is lush with southern yellow pine flooring and specialty tile for the 2.5 baths. The walls (including the first floor Master Suite) are cladded with 1x6 eastern white pine nickel gap that was primed and painted white to contrast the rich color of the flooring. A large quartz countertop, baltic blue and white cabinetry, and deep farmhouse sink are just a few of the upgrades which set off the main level, while a small loft, full Jack and Jill bathroom, and two more bedrooms give you ample space on the second level.

The home is filled with custom-crafted pieces done by our in-house wood shop (FenceRow Furniture) including reclaimed barn wood vanities, a western red cedar range hood/island, and southern yellow pine stair treads with specialty railing. Other features include a wrap around front porch with a western red cedar ceiling/porch posts, a de-tatched 2-car garage, and full, daylight basement, which can be finished at any time. We have it on the market and available to view HERE.

In addition to sharing the Collindale Project, we wanted to highlight a few promotional items for the month of February. From the lumber side of things, we are doing 10% OFF in-stock, Unfinished 1x6 and 1x8 Pine Paneling. We have thousands of feet in both square edge and end-matched ready for your order. From the design side of things, the ladies of Sweet Magnolia wanted to lend their assistance/expertise on your next project and are offering 2 Hours of FREE Design Time, which can be used to go over a project, select colors, or anything in between.

Make sure to mention Promo Code "HT19" to take advantage of one or both deals and we look forward to making some magic with you!
